PowerPoint presentation topic issue for job interview?

I have a second interview for a Trainer position I recently applied for with a new company in the area. The second interview consists of a powerpoint presentation. The recruiter just emailed me the information for the presentation but the topic is very vague. What I was given was the following.

"You may choose a topic of your choice that supports the buisiness call center environment. The presentation should be skill or performance based."

And that's what I'm working with. I may just be missing it completely but I'm not exactly sure what they're asking for, honestly. They wouldn't explain who their contract was with or what the calls pertained to, so i can't much do anything on products or services either. Any thoughts?

I am assuming that you are getting just some basic slide backgrounds and time limits and such. IF I am wrong, please let me know.

I am a trainer for a software company. I just did this sort of thing to assist my supervisor in finding my new assistant.

Basically, they want a sample of your work. They want to see if you have the skills to create something quickly and effectively, without a lot of coaching on what to teach.

There are a lot of skills that are common to a call center environment. For example, you need to have proper telephone ettiquette. They will likely need to know how to write a business letter properly. You need to have some sort of troubleshooting skills.

The best and easiest thing to do a demo on would be proper ettiquette on the phone. Come up with three to five tips for ettiquette, and then teach them as the skills necessary to answer the phone. For example, Answer in 3 rings or less, Smile before you pick up the phone. Introduce yourself, Ask who you are speaking with, Ask why they are calling.

Good luck with your position.
Since it's a job interview.... sell yourself! Either your skills or your past performance and experience in a call site.

One of my best friends had a job interview for a Call Center and when she walked into the interview they handed her a blue ball point pen and gave her five minutes to prepare on how she was going to sell them the the pen.

Good luck with the interview.
