MS XL skill levels & qualifications? |
For some time now, I've been trying to upgrade my skill level in MS Excel and especially now that I'm back on the job market - I work in accounts BTW. I'm at intermediate level with some basic macros and am currently following a basic VBA programming book. Thing is, most courses appear to be for beginners - at least in the UK. Does anyone know what is available at the upper end of the spectrum regarding courses & qualifications? Ideally, I'd be looking at something available on the internet/homestudy, especially as I'm in between jobs. Many thanks. Have a look at this page - I think the 'expert' cd is the one you need. http://www.cvision.co.uk/ca/ms-excel-200... I don't think that XL does go into too much complexity in this area - I have done a course on advance VB for Excel, but even this was only a short course - there are a number of them in London, but I don't think you will get 'Diploma in XL' or anything. I have also done VB, and I think it's as useful to do VB advanced, get some more books, work on projects, and get some projects published on the net. I also do databases, and it's most useful when I can say "I've done this and that database at work", which they are still using. Other than that, I can only suggest you try 'Hot Courses', or depending where you are based, speak to the people who run these courses - in London 'Happy Computers' (crap name, I know), are quite useful, and I always used to grab the trainer and grill them on where I went next. Good luck to you! Here are some advanced courses offerred in excel, I would contact them and ask if they have any facilities for remote learning: http://www.trainingpages.com/x/course,_s... |
