Please help to select the best alternative for SAP HR career? |
Hi everyone, I am an MBA (HR) fresher and my results are awaited. My career objective is to be a SAP techno-functional consultant. Since I don't have work experience, would it be difficult for me to get a job in sap field? In order to have a career in sap I have come up with three alternatives. Which alternative would be the best? 1. I join SAP HR (functional) course now and later on learn ABAP HR. 2. I undertake ABAP HR course(technical ) and work on technical side for 6 months then go for SAP HR functional course 3. I join any organization to gain work experience in my field for 1 year then go for SAP HR functional . Kindly help me by providing your valuable information and suggestions Waiting for your response Joint the HR department of a company who is already using SAP/HR, so you can start accumulating real life work experience in the HR operation as well as SAP system knowledge. Once you are ready to step up, try first to transfer to the IT department and joint the group who is in charge of implementing/maintaining SAP system for your company. If that is not possible, then try finding another company that is gearing up to start a new SAP/HR module implementation. Generally, places that are starting new projects are more willing to hire junior level people and provide training support. Alternatively, you should check out SAP's web site to see if they are hiring. They are hiring all sorts of different roles all the time. You might be able to head straight to the source. Best wishes. SINCE YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE IT IS BETTER TO GAIN EXPERIENCE IN ONE YEAR KEEPING YOUR ALTIMATE GOAL IN THE MIND. i SUGGEST YOUR 3RD OPTION. MY SINCERE GUIDEANCE WHICH IS UP TO YOU TO DECIDE. |
