Can i step into SAP ?

ok i m MBA Finance with more than 2yrs of exp. in selling financial services products.
although this is not to do any thing with SAP but can i step into that at this point of time an build up a career in SAP consulting ?
Can I enter as an fresher in this field?

To be proficient in SAP, particularly a consultant, doesn't happen over night. I would suggest a multi-step plan to get there. Start by leverage what you know and then extend your reach.

Given that you are already selling financial service products, I would suggest that you apply for a sales position at SAP or one of their re-sellers. Once you've prove yourself at your new role, you can look for opportunities to transfer within the company to a more hands on or implementation oriented position.

Best wishes.
I would think that in order to be a consultant, you'd have to actually know how to use it, program it or whatever
How about the finance consultant? You can apply the relative job in bank. The job may create a money dream for you. For future development, it is a good choice.

SAP is an integrated software system that is used by many fortune 500 companies. It is highly complex and will take years to master all modules. Having said that it is possible in less time to master certain modules with proper training and experience.
The career path i would recommend if you want to become an expert in SAP is first become a functional user/expert. This can be accomplished by selecting a mojor corporation which uses SAP and join their finance team or possible their inventory management or supply / distribution departments. I think it wil take several years as a functional user before you will be knowledgeable enough to becoma a consultant. Good Luck!
