I am also taking classes in HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver and maybe PHP and SQL. What are the chances of Getting a job as a Database Administrator with a BS in Computer Science and the additional classes? Will I be able to find a job after college/ How much can I make? Will I be able to find a job with little supervision( i.e. "micromanagment"). Will I be able to telecommute? If not a Database Administrator , what other jobs may I be able to get?
You aren't likely to find a job as a DBA right out of college - that's usually a pretty senior position. If that's your interest though, see if you can get into a database department in a large company as a junior analyst or something like that, and work your way up.
Chances of telecommuting right away are slim, and the amount of supervision will vary but you will be held to performance standards. |
