What are MCSE and CCNA degrees? Does doing them help in finding jobs? |
I am going to join a bad private engineering college, affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) for B.tech(IT or Comp) , as I have no other choice. Does doing MCSE or CCNA degrees after graduation increases knowlege level & help in finding jobs. Well I see that you are in a situation I was 5 years ago :) Well If you an interest in System Administration, like looking after computers in large set-up or even small set-up you are going the right WAY. I would recommend you to start the Courses as soon as you get through your 1st year. And please don't delay. MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer) is good and so i CCNA, I would also recommend you to do RHCE (Red-Hat Certified Engineer) MCSE is for Managing PC's / Servers / Network of PC's running on Microsoft OS i.e. Windows CCNA is for Networking Basics and getting a knowledge of WHat are networks and how they work. RHCE is for managing Red-Hat linux (It's an OS like Windows XP/2003 etc.) based Networks. So it's better as soon as you start after the 2nd SEM/1st Year and BEST OF LUCK If you like the answer..VOTE ;) getting something like a msce certainly will enhance your credentials..its not a degree, but it is a recognized certification process staing that you are an expert working with Microsoft networks, as opposed to having a general IT degree. A "Microsoft Cerified Sytems Engineer". |
