What do I put on my resume for a website that no longer exists? |
I designed a website a while back and it is no longer around and instead some weird generic search engine is there... I wanted to keep it on my resume for experience but I don't want people to think I designed the "new" website. Without your formal creation online people can't see your work, it is just as good as you leave out the mentioning of the site and say something like "web master for small businesses". Alternatively, put a sample of what you made on your own site and refer hiring managers to your site for a sample of your previous projects. Best wishes. I would still list it, but then put something like "no longer exists" or "no longer in business" after that. Then do you have a printout of the website you could attach to your resume so they can still see your work? Good luck! |
