Do I reapply for a job that was posted 2 months ago and was just reposted? |
I applied at a company two months ago and was told I was put on a list of candidates for the position and would be contacted in the future regarding an interview. I was contacted, however, to be informed that the position had been filled internally. No other information regarding "Your resume will be kept on file for a year" or anything like that. Simply, the position was filled internally and thank you for applying. I happened to notice that the company posted for the exact position this afternoon on their website, again, nothing regarding previous applicants. My question, how do I go about reapplying for this position? Do I resend a resume and cover letter, or just a letter assuming they kept my previous resume on file and would like to be reconsidered. I know I was on a short list of qualified candidates the first go round, and I have been waiting to land a fitting career at this place for some time. (Big company, one mile from home, and excellent benifits.) Any thoughts? Sure, write them again. You could also refresh their memory about your application. Attach your resume to your cover/follow up letter. Peace and blessings! politely call into the hr department and request if your application is still on file |
