What Good Jobs Can a 13 yearold do? |
I am looking for jobs for a 13 year old to do. If you suggest the job I do, you will be chosen by me as best answer. This is serious. Go around your neighborhood and offer to poop scoop their yards weekly for $10 each (if one dog) Profit margin is high, and you can enlist your friends if you get too much work - pay them $5 and pocket the rest yourself. Make $1,000 + a month from home. No start-up fee. Email me with any questions. I can email you copies of my checks. http://www.gangstergreed.com?ref=14925... # 1 You need to use Internet Search Engine to locate the government web site in your state which is for the government agency called "Department of Labor" then you need to search that site for the rules for "Child Labor" Basically, for your protection, there are some jobs you will not be allowed to do, that are dangerous, like working construction on a sky scraper or in a coal mine. There are also jobs you may not work that might conflict with a school night. You need to see what the rules are, and also some are by age ... as you get older, there are some jobs you now may do that were banned when you were younger. # 2 Talk with your parents about this. You may need transportation to any job, they might not want you out late at night, in a distant community. They might not want you bicycling or walking over busy streets. So this will geographically and time wise constrain where it is Ok with them for you to get work. If you have had experience taking care of younger siblings, then you might be qualified to be a baby sitter. If you are unfamiliar with bicycle safety, check out my answer to this question http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... If you are good on a pedal bicycle, and know about safety regulation, a job that many youngsters your age can do is deliver newspapers in suburbia. You have to get up very early in the morning, while it is still dark outside, ride your bicycle to a place that has the papers, then ride to the homes of the people who need them, either throw them onto their front porch from your bike, or stop at apartment complexes to make deliveries to their front doors, so when they get up at 5-7 am, the newspaper waiting for them. After you do this for several hours in morning, you go to school. Then once a week, or once a month, you have to go knocking on people doors to collect the money for the newspapers. Another job, if you are in good physical condition, is at a golf course, picking up the balls that end up in the woods, wading into the water (wear boots) to retrieve balls from there, carrying bag around for the golf players. This is good part time work during summer months if you are off school for summer. Some cities have RENT A KID (Check Internet Search Engines and Telephone Yellow Pages). the way this works, businesses and home dwellers who have need of some maid service, yard work, etc. call up the place & say they need say 5 kids for 4 hours. The Rent-a-Kid place checks out the person to make sure they are not a pervert or something, knows which kids want to do that kind of work, knows where the kids are located, for their safety, makes sure they have a ride, takes care of all the nanny taxes. It is a good deal all around. |
