technical person applied for a non technical position ,what answer ,for a question like why do you want this job Well, that is a question that is likely to come up regardless of the type of position you applied for. The best answer is the honest answer. Well, that's assuming you didn't just "randomly" apply hoping to get an interview just because you need a job. The best answer to that question is to ask yourself, why DO you want that job? If you're not sure, you could always go with something similar to, "I want to branch out from technological fields and expand my work experiences and skill set. I feel that I could bring a unique perspective to this position and the company due to...and go from here. Firstly don't tell them of your qualifications. Just say that its maybe "close to home and you would prefer to work in a progressive company such as this one". Best of luck!! Like interacting with people and had some experience with a team setting and enjoyed atmosphere greatly. I feel I have accomplished everything I would like in my technical field, but feel I could excel at this opportunity if given the chance because I have a great desire for it. 15 years of benchtop science now I sell scientific goods and much happier in any case. |
