Good job for fast typer? |
I'm 16 so I don't know if I can get a job as a secretary or a receptionist or something. but I'm computer literate and I type like 50 wpm :D What jobs could I get? You could get a great paying job as receptionist typist if you could first get a ride in a time machine and go back in time maybe 30-40 years. Today, no one is hiring for that. Many companies do not use a receptionist per se. Someone comes to the front door, rings the bell, and various other people come to the door to meet the visitor ... those people have a "regular" job in customer service, or production forensics, or accounting reconciliation, or whatever. If your typing skills are such that you can key into computer keyboard without your eyes looking at keyboard or computer screen, just at whatever data is to go in, and you getting it right, then you have one of the very important skills needed to get a job in our computer heavy work places, but you need some other skills, like knowing accounting, learning ERP or some other common business applications. A lot of people these days, when it comes to computers, they are hunt & peck, so you have a huge advantage when it comes to "keeping" a job over the inefficient normal competitors, but to get a job in the first place, you have to know something relevant to what the job work place is doing. I mean think of someone who says * "I know how to answer the telephone ... what kind of job can I get because I have that skill?" (well without it you probably cannot do any job) * "I have a driver's license, and a perfect driving record ... is that enought to get a job?" (it is enough to get you to the work place) Lol 50 wpm is a slow *** typer, you need to be at least 80 wpm. try going to smaller businesses If you are good in math and science and typing, consider Pharmacy! |
