What are some of the higher-paying jobs, that involve computers?

I.E. Computer technician, graphics designer, web design, etc.

Software engineer, computer engineer and database admins will yield the highest median salaries.

You can also make good money as an analyst (systems or business), programmer or IT professional.

The three you listed would be toward the bottom end of the spectrum for salaries.

Get a BS in computer science, that would pretty much allow you have the skill set for any computer career, which one you then choose to persue would depend on your interests, "soft skills" and work experience.

You will probably find the ACM useful as it contains much information you seem to be looking for: http://computingcareers.acm.org/...
