I'm about to graduate in less than a month; any suggestions for companies I should seek out? |
My degree will be in Computer Networking Systems and I'm interested in entry level networking or cyber security. Are you working with your school placement office? That would be a good place to start. Good luck. There are too many companies to name. Most importantly you have to do some research of your own to decide what kind of job you like and for what type of company. A good place to start is job sites, particularly IT specific job sites like www.dice.com and www.hotgigs.com. Go through the list of jobs and narrow down to ones you like. Do some research on the hiring companies at www.vault.com and www.hoovers.com. You can even go directly to the hiring companies web sites. Most of the time, they will have Career page that content more comprehensive job listings. For example, you may find a job listed by one of the largest networking company Cisco. You can go to Cisco's web site to seek out other job listings for Cisco. And go to www.vault.com to see what some current and ex-employees said about Cisco. Then go to www.hoovers.com and search for competitors of Cisco, then go to the competitors web site to see what jobs they have to offer. And so on.. all the information is at your finger tips.
