What jobs are there for 13 year olds? |
im 13 years old im getting intrested in money is there any jobs for 13 year olds Because people are concerned about being sued, before you start searching for a job, ask your parents to write up a 'release of liability' saying they will not hold others liable in event of accident, then you will all sign and have it noterized. Make copies to take with you. Check the 'yard sales' when they first come into the paper and go ask if they need help setting up and also putting away when they are finished. Sweeping walkways and driveways in the fall & shoveling snow from them in the winter. Any farming around? Ask if you can 'pick rock'. Pull weeds from gardens. Also check with people who might be going away for a week and offer to water their outside plants. See if you can help clean up the church after services (or dust the pews before) or help the school janitor with little jobs or running erronds. Babysitting. My son use to be in high demand as a sitter. Kids loved him. He's now in his 40's and because of the experience, he is an excellent father and grandfather. And if people are reluctant to leave the children alone with you, ask if you can hang around and learn from the mother how to care of them. You may not get paid for that but it is an investment in the future. When my granddaughter was barely 14 she began filing papers after school for a small business. She worked there until she was 19. Because of that dedication, she was accepted by every company she interviewed with and was able to choose where she really wanted to work. She went from minimum wage right into a position that paid $15 an hour, paid vacation, profit sharing and an annual bonus and she hadn't even attended college. The most obvious job is helping your parents for a gratuity. If you already have chores, think of additional things you can do to help around the house. Ask your mom teach you to cook and clean and do laundry. Assist your dad with cleaning out the garage or with things that he may have a skill at that he could teach you. Joining the scouts or a youth group will also look good on a resume. Experience is priceless when it comes time to find your first after school job, even if it is just experience within your own home. Good luck. Dog walking and dog poo clean up.You will make a lot of money ,develop a client list all close enough to bike too. Also think about weeding flower beds and gardens ,bid the job rather tan charging per hour this makes for less squabbles over productivity. Good luck. i think some paper companys might still do paperboys but most dont. try getting a job as a farm hand my grandpa owns a farm and he hires anyone as long as they can do manual labor(which basicly means he hires illegal imigrents and teenagers) yo mama in my day it was hauling hay (3cents a bale) my 13th year I made 80 cents an hour "picking up chunks" that is clearing a field of tree debris for planting (12hrs/day) |
