What are the career opportunities for a person who was expelled from college other than academic reasons? I'd say it is time for you to go to trade school at your local community college. There is a host of possibilities you can choose from: Pharmacy tech, networking tech, auto mechanic, HVAC installer, welder... etc. These are all pretty good jobs, if you ask me. Good luck A good career is the military. Not everyone in the Armed Forces has to fight, they have opportunities for cooks, mechanics, computer operators, etc. jail, parole, mcdonalds While you were in college, what did you actually learn....that you could actually do for someone? If you answered, "nothing." Don't worry, you're not alone. The problem with college is that you spend your first two years repeating high school, and your second two years earning the "privilege" of going to yet another school. By the time you're considered employable, you may be almost 30 and in debt up to your eyeballs. Consider it a blessing in disguise that you got kicked out; now go learn something real and use it. I worked outside of my home for several years until things go too hectic and I needed to be at home. It took me some time to find legitimate companies to subcontract for from home. There are alot of scams out there, so you must be careful. Remember, when you are looking for a job, you should not have to PAY MONEY. If you come across a posting or receive an email that requires you to pay ANYTHING, it is most likely a scam. I had to find out the hard way. The site that I have had the most success with in the past is: http://www.onlinesummerjobs.com... Good luck with your job search. It takes time and a lot of effort, but if you stick with it it's worth it. You end up saving so much money on gas and wear and tear on your vehicle. Working at home is great, as long as you actually perform the tasks requested of you and you communicate on a regular basis with the company (usually your project manager). Communication is key when telecommuting. Again, good luck! |
