Any advice on how to manage an Information Technology project?


I recently inherited an information technology project for a federal agency. It involves implementing a VPN solution. Security is tantamount. Any tips are appreciated.

Pert charts are made for this sort of thing. MS Project Manager will do the trick. They stole the software from Time Line. I just love Microsoft. So original. I have used it to manage what I considered to be large implementation projects, but I doubt they were as large as this one sounds.
