How do I break into the tech writing field with an admin. assistant background?


I have just a little legal writing experience (about 1.5 years) and a few months experience as a technical editor, but mostly a lot of admin. assistant experience. What are some entry-level positions I could qualify for (or positions that get me closer to those kinds of positions)?

use your current position to create a portfolio - writing white papers, articles, etc. will help you transition to your next position.
