How long is an interview for a software engineer at Intel? |
For a fresh grad? Any suggestions, tips for the interview? It depends, I had 2 sessions of Interview. While some of my friends had 3. 1st. was normal interview on backgrounds - academic, family etc., then interest on the jobs, then had some basic online test on common courtersy, support & dealing wth Intel products & clients, basic IQ tests & maths combo. They gave me some case scenarios & write about it. 2nd interview was with higher management. They'll explain more about the jobs & enquire your knowledge of it. Do not lie about what you can or cannot do. They'll give some more case scenarios & asked me to explained my exposure on it. Thn it's about salary, location & job commitment issues etc. Finally after 1-2 weeks. They'll inform whether you've got the job or not. ------------------------------... Tips & Suggestions:- - Prepare well. Be prepared for out of the box or even very common Question about things not related to Software Engineer or IT. - Prepare your projects/assignment just bring along your thesis, reports etc. & softcopy for them to view & demo. You'll need to explain about them to show you're qualified for the job. Don't worry if it's not a professional nor complete thing as you're a fresh graduate. - Show positive & enthusiasm. - Prepare extra resumes as sometimes more than 1 manager will show up. - Groom yourself well. Because I've seen the evaluation forms - whereby marks will be given for candidates that are well groomed, ask Questions & write notes about the job. - Basically just be yourself. Don't panic when they look at your eyes. - Oh yeah you better bring along a water bottle & make sure you take your meals before the interview. It can be a long process or cold one. Mine's about 2 hours per session. While my friend's was shorter but they had to wait pretty long. |
