Which one is in more demand MCSE OR (CCNA, CCNP)? |
Which one is in more demand MCSE OR (CCNA, CCNP)? Another vote for CCNA or CCNP. Companies are more willing to hire qualified people without MCSE but if they really need good networking professional they seldom forego CCNA or CCNP. So it isn't necessarily that MCSE aren't helpful in job searching, but companies are not as demanding for that certification. Best wishes.Dear King, MCSE is for Servers LAN side , CCNA and CCNP is for the Router and Switches WAN side . MCSE as the basic for the network then CCNA , CCNP & CCIE if u do MCSE and CCNA then CCNP it will be good for the future. In companies they Network Engineer should need to handle Servers, Switches and Routers. MCSE aswellas CCNA,CCNP is good. I agreed with wellwisher's reply. Besides that it depends on which industry you'll enter. I've took CCNA & CCNP. Completed CCNA but for CCNP passed 3 papers out of 4. Failed 1, due to lack of real life experience on the scenarios. Currently my job exposure require more MCSE relate stuffs, it's not hard for me to digest although it's first time case for some windows & LAN issues. I would say the internet, interest to do more search on windows environment technologies & bit of cisco stuffs helped out. I've friends working for Shell, Dell, Intel, Motorola & other big IT companies. That got selected because of their Cisco certs. but dealed more with MCSE stuffs. I would say Cisco Certs. are harder than MCSE & MORE expensive as well. 1 Cisco Certified Network Associate 2. Cisco Certified Network Professional 3 Microsoft Certified System Engg.2003 (##Upcoming track: win server 2008) Number of Exams Mcse=7 CCNA =1 CCNP =2 Related Jobs MCSE :Network Administrator; Systems Engineer; Technical Support Engineer; Systems Analyst; Network Analyst; Technical Consultant CCNA :Systems Administrator; Network Administrator CCNP :Network Administrator; LAN Administrator; Network Infrastructure Administrator I belive ccnp is high end certification in networking based on neutral platfrom.It is a relatively tough.It have an advantage to work in Linux or solaris based platfrom(os) Microsoft s mcse is premier in sever lavel os which is truly excelent, there is lot of advantages like encryption , active directory . also u can take a paper on security or database which is realy an advantage. the most plus poit is its easy to understand because microsoft have a huge online learning material in techedge.
