What is the best way to train to become a web developer?

Any help much appreciated.

If I were you I'd take a course such as CIW (certified internet webmaster), I took this up in Surrey despite the fact that I live in Kent fortunately it was only part-time (and spread accross the space of six months). This option isn't cheap though, so if money is tight for you and your family the next option is via uni!

it helps al ot to get some experience though and design as many sites as you can whilst studying (even if they're just personal sites) as employers constantly ask for experience as well as qualifications as after having finished my course I was told I had the qualifications but not the experience.
The OU do 6 courses that join up to a Web Master certificate. About 拢150 per course though and spread over 3 years.

The obvious answer is to make as many sites as you can for yourself and other people, trying different tricks and techniques. Scour the net and developer sites for good ideas and try them out for yourself - take nothing for granted until you know YOU can make it work.

Good luck and have fun (the important bit)
