Why am i so lazy to get a job ? |
why can't i make myself get up and post my resume on MONSTER, CAREERBUILDER and all those job sites? i graduated with a degree in Electrical And Computer Engineering december of 2006 . And for past few months i have been working part time for $11/hour ( 20 hours per week ) in this call center . I have been going thru some emotional problems for a while , but i think i m still goin thru the after shock of those revelations . anyway i want to find a job in my field , so i can make some more money . But i can't make my brain to tell my hands to fix up the resume and upload it to these websites and job career centers . Why is that ? How can i over come it? Good luck! hi friend we all are studying working hard ultimately to have a good life..when we are youth we learn things...later we will get a job,we earn money..some of us saves it while some of us lavishly spends it. but inorder to have a good life in future..we should earn snd save as much money as possible..so ultimately each and every time our goal is to get a better job always..think like this with a positive attitude..i dont know ur life stlye..make it such that ur mind will be always happy and active... your not lazy, as you said you are dealing with some emotional problems still, perhaps you are just not ready,and that's ok as long as you are ok financially. maybe you need to focus on yourself before you can focus on your career. deal with taking care of yourself, and the rest will fall into place. There must be some reasons why this is happening. I'm guessing that you are disappointed with your employment prospects for your industry, that's why everytime you try to post your resume, some voices inside your head would say, "Nah, don't waste your time." Another reason could be that whenever you look the job ad, you feel that although you have the credentials but do not have the experience. You doubt if you can even handle the job at all. Employers demand more from a graduate, sometimes unrealistic expectations, e.g. to be independent on the job the first day he comes in. However, you feel that that is impossible. You may feel that your degree is working against you in this aspect. Above are a few reasons I can think of why you may be reacting in this way. Assuming I hit the spot, i just want to tell you there is actually nothing wrong with the above senarios. It is normal. Being that the case, You can consider mailing your resumes, calling the company HR, etc. Uploading your resume through online job portal is not the only way to apply for a job. If you feel really uncomfortable doing that, try something else. Why don't you go to your doctor for a physical - just to make sure everything is OK. Then you have to get you mind in the right set and just GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just think of things you can have that you do not have now. Good Luck. |
