Hows the jobs market in your area for engineers and programmers?

Seems to me we are in a very slow recovery from a deep recession. This means that a trickle of jobs are opeing up, but there's lots of candidates out there who lost jobs in last downturn, and people in jobs they are not particularly fond of, watching for when it appears safe to make a move.

I am in midwest USA (Indiana).
