Is computer engg better or computer science? |
Is computer engg better or computer science? You know what, it all depends. I know engineering itself is very exciting but you will for the most part be isolated from the world because you are probably going to be stuck in your own office working on implementing and designing no architects or maybe designing newer technologies for your company. Computer Science on the other hand is general and you can use that to go different directions: programming, security, network etc. I am having a dilemma right now as well as to what i wanna do. I have my A+, Network+, Security+, MCP and Server+ but im on my second year in college so i dont know what to take. I just know what i love doing. Find out what you love doing, and then find something else you love doing besides your first choice and go for those two. This way if one gets boring you can switch over. You do not want to end up doing a job you hate and you are basically working because you make a lot of money. That is a good question and I would ask where you plan to get an education? Most universities define the subject as Computer Science, whether you go for chips or code. Computer Engineering, I suspect, is a subject found in technical institutes. Check on that, please. Poke into some good places you might attend and see what they call their major. MS EE/CS |
