Does anybody know of a good web site to visit to get tips on making a presentation? Its for a job interview.? |
The post is a deputy nursing sister and I have to make a 10 minute presentation to a panal of 3. I am not able to use powerpoint so it will have to be basic talking.......eeeek No. But I used to give them all the time. 1. Tell them what you intend to talk about 2. Tell them it 3. Tell them what you have just told them. Face your audience. Speak clearly. Explain terms that may be confusing to the listener. get them involved. Stay calm - you know more than they do. Aim your talk at the correct level of your audience - ie: if they are qualified nurses, do not state the obvious. Take questions at the end of your talk, and tell people at the beginning to keep questions till the end, unless you are confident you can multitask. Keep it succinct, 10 - 20 minutes is adequate.
