When emailing a CV/Resume off, what are suitable formats? (.doc .pdf etc)?

Best thiing to do to get it understood by most people is to get it into a PDF format. You can get it for free, so most people have access to being able to read it. Now, if you want to do it as a word format, do it as a protected format in word. This way in case there's not a way for someone to change the resume (just in case, not saying it would happen). And yes, make sure that you save it in no later than 2003 format. No one is really using the 2007 format of word yet.
pdf is ok... but MS Word format is also acceptable....

Good Luck!
.pdf or Microsoft word, make sure you use or save it as Microsoft word document 2005-2006. The Microsoft 2007 version may not come threw on a system that has an older version of word. I found that out with my resume. Most businesses will use Microsoft word. (please note I say word, not works) good luck!
The best format is PDF cause it is readable by everyone. As not everyone works with MS-Word, I do not suggest you to send it as word format, but if you cannot format it as PDF, you could save it, through MS-Word, as RTF format, wich is universally accessible. In MS-Word, just "save as ..." and select file type : RTF.
PDF because it's tougher for people to screw around with.

In addition, there are numerous bugs between Microsoft Word editions - I can't tell you how many "bullet points" characters turn into funny characters because of some bug in the system - I've seen Euro symbols and English pound symbols when it should be an arrow or dot.

PDF doesn't have this problem at all.
