What should i look for when i look for a job ?? |
i am trying to find a job related to my field of studies - electrical and computer engineering . What kind of search should i do ? i will be looking for entry level electrical engineering probably , should i also look for " entry level computer engineer" . ? ? ? :\ i am like 98% done with my resume , but not sure what search should i be doing , does "Quality assurance " makes any sense for my kinda degree? or how about , system design ? ? i am going blank here...the more i think bout it i don't get it... You are asking many different questions here about what in my esperience is a collection of jobs typically held by different people. Quality Engineer is not an entry level position. Typically a person who has several years experience at one company, working with the design and manufacturing of some product, who has taken classes in quality, such as ISO standards, can try to advance into the Inspection field of the company to ensure quality control standards are being met. Very rarely does a company hire an outsider to come in as Quality Engineer, because the learning curve about the company products is so steep. Design engineering, and Computer engineering are generally two separate fields, unless you are working for one of the companies that manufactures computer hardware, which jobs wise is a microscopic fraction of the jobs out there, and most of that is being off-shore outsourced to India and other nations. You need to have had some relevant education, and you need to ask your educators what kinds of jobs this education has qualified you for. Look at advertisements for job openings ... what kinds of qualifications they looking for & match that up with what education and experience you have got. |
