My husband is looking for a good paying job in telecommunications.? |
He has been in the military. He's retired since 2001. And he has worked in the field and in the office as a tech. He wants to earn more now. If you know of jobs out there please respond. What part of telecomm is your hubby looking at? Sales? Engineering? R&D? Integration and Test? I won't say that the field is wide open: it isn't. My life is commercial telecomm took a bump in 2002 when the infrastructure industry was changing. I was out of work for a year before working at my present employer, doing defense comms. I don't imagine your hubby still has his clearance, but that would be something to leverage, esp among defense contractors. He also needs to figure out what exactly he wants to be doing. Are you willing to relocate? You didn't give any location in your description. Most of the telco's are going into fiber-optic installation. The best way to find out if there are openings in your area is to check at your local Unemployment office (or Employment Security office as they're now called). Most of the large companies don't post openings on their own web-sites. If you want your husband to get a job, then I have to suggest that he start looking where the jobs are, not on a question-&-answer site! 28 years in telco industry. Telecommunications is the science and technology of communication at a distance by electronic transmission of impulses, as by telegraph, cable, telephone, radio, television, internet, satelite, or fiberoptics. This includes Hardware, Software, Support, Infrastructure, Sales, Services,Etc. There are positions ranging from the guy who sells cell phones at a stand at the mall to the CEO of a major corporation. Many types of Telecommunications vary greatly in Technology. A better understanding of your husbands experience and in what field would help greatly. If he is looking for an entry level position he could try the cable company. If he has a degree he may be able to get a supervisory position right away. I work for a company called 5LINX. its anational telecomunications company that provides the same telecom services people are already using ( cell phones, VOIP, Internet, Satellite Tv and business lines) 5LINX has been featured in INC 500 in 2006 and 2007, DSA (direct selling assiociation) and numerous publications documenting our success. And people such as Donald Trump and Warren Buffet have said Direct selling companies are the opportunity of the 21st century. I myself and prior military, my mentor is a retired Marine, One of my key leaders in a Retired SFC in the army and I have three members of my team that are still actively in the military. I want to point out two things. One, this is not a get rich quick business. It can become very profitable very quickly if you are motivated and driven. Secondly, we are strictly prohibited to engage in telemarketing or door to door sales. All we do is offer people that we know a way to save money on the servcies they are already using, and we get paid a percentage of that person's monthly bill, every month. We are doing word of mouth marketing. We do it everyday. We recommend a movie, a car brand, a soft drink brand, but we never get paid when they purchase on of the services or products. In this company we do. If you are interested take a look at my website. my contact information is there is you want more information. www.5linx.net/joshua82 I hope this helps check this link its good http://workathomefreelancingdataentrywor... . |
