Will there be jobs avaible for Software engineer in the next 4-5 years in the US? Yes most definitely. Simply because the cost of labor is rising at a steady rate in the third world and soon it will be too expensive to outsource the systems engineering jobs to these countries. The jobs will start returning to the USA. Only recently, there was a story about 500 jobs coming to Atlanta form India because of the lack of available skills there at a decent rate. Hang tight. Things will start to turn around soon.
