What is the difference between industry jobs in computer science and information systems?

Computer science is all inclusive for computer related fields. It could be any thing from hardware to software and all that's in between.

Information systems field is strictly software. There could be various type of information systems, i.e. application packages, operating systems, device drivers etc. A job in information systems field would involve some stages of software development life cycle.

Best wishes.
Industry is usually manufacturing of hard goods.
Computer industry is high tech developing systems, etc. Of course they have the jobs for assembly, etc. But mainly it is the techs developing systems or new software, etc.
