Best Job For me? |
I just took an online career test and i scored as a person who is very hands on, likes to get things done. I also scored as a person who would like a job in the Industrial Arts. like an engineer i guess? which seems pretty good, i have a lot of relatives that are engineers as well. do jobs in the industrial arts pay a lot? i mean i don't know exaclt what kind of job i would want. i just want a job that can pay me like 40k-60k annualy. do jobs in this area require a college degree? b/c id rather not go to college. im 16 btw any suggestions would be helpfull. thank you. I honestly don't know which jobs are in industrial arts. It could include jobs such as welder or machinist. Jobs that pay $40-60K annually will more than likely require a college degree, especially if you want to start at $40K minimum (with no previous experience). If you don't attend college, you're going to have to start in any career with a low wage, like $11-$12/hour max ($22-24K/yr.) If you continue to learn and advance in responsibility, then over a period of 5 years in the same profession, it's possible you could be earning $40K (which is about $20 per hour). Good paying jobs are not just handed out like Christmas candy. You have to have a skill that the employer needs, and trust me on this, most employers aren't willing to pay a dime more than they have to. There is always someone willing to step up and accept a bit less, and that holds wages down. P.S. If you want a reality check, go down to your local U.S. post office and ask what the starting wage is for a mail carrier.
