Will the salary for a research job in IT field be as high as an IT Professional, such as IT-Developer?
Typically the salary for research jobs is higher. One reason for this is, research jobs often require an advanced degree (Masters or PhD). That means there are fewer candidates, and the skills needed for the job are expected to be higher. So companies know they will have to pay more.
Of course, I'm sure there are exceptions - in other words, the higher paid IT Professionals are probably making more than the lowest paid researchers. |
