I took some certifications through evening school (A+, XP MCP) and I am studing for Cisco CCNA now. I'd like to move into the IT field as soon as possible(my current job is awful) but I don't have work experience. I'm willing to accept a job placement for a few weeks but I can't find where they are advertised. Who can help me?
A common way to get "a foot in the door" in I.T. is through support, check the local job agencies and web sites to look for 1st line support positions, this will get you some experience to back up the qualifications
Wait till you get your CCNA then start looking. You'll find something no problem.
Tell people where you are - you never know - there may be a willing soul out there amongst us!
