Sit up straight and don't slouch!..but not SO erect as to appear like Frankenstein's Monster! The main thing is that you both be and appear comfortable, and that exudes charm. Be confident, but not cocky. Look them in the eye with genuine interest. Don't fidget and most importantly............ Let them do most of the talking. Definitely ask questions if they say "do you have any questions", but let them do most of the talking. Also, research on the company before you go and Wow them with some knowledge of the company. Well dress very nice, smile alot, talk loud, tell them all of your skills,, experinces, and tell them your a hard woker wanting to stay along time and keep calling them until they get tired of it After the interview ask them, "So, when do I start?" Used to work for me 9 times out of ten. Ask about benefits, and the prospect of advancements in job positions...show interest and ask about profit sharing. You can look good on paper and talk a good game. My theory is that there is an ineffable something that will do the trick for any company interviewer that will get you the check mark, and that this something cannot be fabricated or bid into being. It is like real chemistry and simply must be there in order for you to be perceived as "right" for a particular company or position. |
