What is the job prospect after doing graphical designing and animation courses?

What is the job prospect after doing graphical designing and animation courses?

It varies. Animation is a growth industry, with a growing markets in computer games, advertising, movies, and just about anything computerised. Graphic design is as strong as it ever was with work in web design, print, computer games and so on.

But the course is less important than your art. Many people in the industry have no formal qualifications, what they have is cool art.

In addition it is an industry based mostly on part-time, home based, bit work (that pays well). So who you know and your connections help you work. If you have a good reputation and people like you and your art work, your future is assured.

Often getting your first break is very hard. It is work with long hours, crazy hours (good pay though) so you have to love it.
It varies, but if the courses in question teach you mainly Adobe Flash 9 and Photoshop CS3 you're on the right track. Other computer animation courses (like for anime, video games and cartoons) are pretty much useless without a four- or six-year degree in graphic design and even then you may not get a job.

Personally I think that most "computer animation" courses are complete garbage. You can generally take college courses in flash and graphic design that will prepare you better and will aid you better on the job. From what I've seen and dealt with personally, a course from DeVry won't lend you the type of expertise required for the current job market -- and something from the University of Phoenix even less so. (Many states consider UoP degrees worthless for hiring and licensing purposes). Buyer Beware.

Contact your local college or university for more information on classes there. Most normal colleges don't pay salespeople commissions to get in the door -- so be sure to ask any recruiter if they get a commission for each student they sign up.

Note: Most people that I've known getting jobs in animation didn't take courses in it, they just taught themselves and perfected their skill on their own time. It doesn't sound as impressive, but they still get great jobs doing it. If this is what you want to do, then you can start learning it whenever you want. :)

Good Luck!!!
I own a top-level web design and development company that shall remain nameless.
