Can I go back to research after a break?


I have a masters degree in cell biology from the USA and one years experience in quality control at a biotech contract manufacturing organization in canada. Can I go back to doing research work at the bench after my 1.5 year break? Will a university lab hire me as a technician?

As long as you are up to date with new procedures, methods, and guidleines, I do not see why not.
