I have had my CV sent to me in word to update it but although i can open it i cant amend it what should do? |
I have had my CV sent to me in word to update it but although i can open it i cant amend it what should do? Is it because whoever's sent it to you as sent it as a .docx file (Word 2007) and you're running an older version of Word (so you would use .doc files as standard)? If you've got the viewer on your PC then yes, you would be able to read it, but probably not amend it. All you need to do is cut and paste the text into a new document. "Open as" then select word (.doc) Try highlighting the text and copying it. Then paste it into a new Word document that you can save. Hope your not looking for a job in I.T. Talk with your local library if they have computers or your adult education where you get GED's they can help you out on that. Local college library can help, Call and ask these places. change the file name to .doc?!!! |
