Anyone know how to get a National Insurnace Number in London without the fuss and lengthy wait at JobCentrePlus? I have a appointment with JobCentrePlus but will only receive the NI number in 9 weeks! i need it sooner, and perhaps with not even going anywhere and someone (or company) to do it for me! Thanks
Nope you ned to see the people @ the jobcentre UNLESS you prepared to break the law & do it illegaly - which aint right. They will give you a temp N.I number to use for employment until you are issued your new one - you pay more tax for a while - which is refunded but looks like you going to have to suffer the wait mate.

I think that is the only way to get one......through the Job Centre.
You will find this a long and frustrating experience as a friend of mine from US can testify, only way is job centre
