Does anyone know how much duty is payable on import of a diamond from the USA?


I'm trying to find out how much the UK duty payable ( +VAT presumably ) is payable on a diamond ( cut and polished and ready to mount ) from the USA to the UK.

Try calling the customs office at the boarder, they have a 1-800 in phone book. Or call your postoffice, they have connections to customs office. Or in your case the import consulate, on rules,& regulations.
