Why is all the questions in the UK section about taxation? are we now a nation obsessed by our income? Everyone wants service (health care, dentists, roads, schools, garbage collection), but no one wants to pay for it. The media is owned by businesses and they rile the people against taxes. The moment government doesn't have money and doesnt provide the service private companies move in and charge for it (and more because unlike governments they need to make money and profit too) People are often obsessed by things they cannot change. NOT A NATION OBESSESED BY UR INCOME,BUT BY SOME OTHER THINGS. We are all broke becuase of the high taxes on everything so we want to make sure we understand what we are being charged for and to make sure we are not paying too much. It's ridiculous we go to work in our cars that we have paid VAT on, use petrol that has been taxed. Get to work, work hard and pay Income Tax on our earnings and then buy clothes etc that again we have to pay VAT on. I wonder how much we actually see of our money after we have paid tax on everything. This is the UK section on taxes.
