Hiya, has anybody got experience of legal tax avoidance while living and working Abroad.? |
I have also just been Discharged from personal Bankrupcy , therefore making my situation even more complicated and delicate. I would still pay my Money each month to the insolvancy company, for the next Two Years, by D/D. However, I would be Overseas, and want to keep all Money I earn, and pay no Tax on it, because I am starting from scratch, and will be out of Country, virtualy all year, every year, for the forseable future. The possibility of becoming a Tax exile sounds good, is this possible in my situation?. If it is, what are the basics, I will need to get sorted/need to know?. Your help with this Q, is very much appreciated, you are helping me to start again, and hopefully live the Dream Overseas, Debt free, and with the Tax man off my back Legally. You are allowed to spend up to 90 days in the UK per year and the rest outside the UK to be classed as not normally resident. Any money you send to the UK is not subject to tax providing you do not return to the UK full time in the same tax year. You arrive back in the UK full time only say early April just inside a new tax year. However, this would only apply if you are NOT living in one of the European Community Countries as they all have some sort of reciprical tax agreements. My own experience working abroad outside the European Community Countries is that my employer is responsible for any income tax payments in the country where I work and any money I send to the UK is taxable only if I return finally in the same tax year. Call at any inland revenue tax office and they will give you booklets explaining the income tax situation for people working abroad. Contact you local Tax office. If you are out of the country and only return for a set number of days (I think it is 20 per year) then you pay no tax. But you have to register and fill in a form before you go. Done that.... The post above me is totally right... |
