I'm claiming working tax credits but each week my hours change from 0-40hrs should i tell the government ? Yes they go from previous years so next year when you send in your tax earning for this year they either owe you money or worse you owe them. Are you working on a casual basis? Work out your monthly average hours and tell them that! I'm a wages clerk yes Technically Yes, however, if you work out prorata over the months and you are still within the yearly allowance, there would not be a problem. It is very difficult to judge how many hours you do, as you may have to cover someone else which would push up your earnings for that specific month, however, the government agency set up to deal with this would deduct during the course of the year if you told them, but then you would have to fill in loads of forms at the end of the year supplying all your payslips etc, and again, you would prorata this over the year and you would get it back. So unless its something like an extra 20 hours per month every month, i would keep schtum........ Yes be honest with that stuff, get their advice on how to deal with it. then you won't any hassel further down the line. It really is the best option. yes. |
