Is it's legal to make money in China and then bring a large sum of money back to England?

I'm just wondering what the laws ares on bringing lots of money back from a foreign country back to England e.g. restrictions on amounts; taxes etc

why not just wire the money back to England. it's a lot safer.
Why ask twice...
There is a particular amount of monye you can bring into any country. Check out Customs.
"lots" of money? International transfers of funds require government notification whenever they are above a certain threshold, and most violations involve jail-time (the assumption is that it's drug money by default).

Be very, very careful!
You would be better served opening an offshore bank account. This allows total anonymity. No taxes, etc.

Bringing currency through on your person:

Their are no limits but anti money laundering regulation allows customs/police to query any amount that is brought in, if they believe that it could be connected to wrong doing. Any amount over 拢5000 will be seized if satisfactory evidence is not provided regarding the origins of the money (usually bank account statements).

wiring the money:

There are no taxes/or limits imposed but the company undertaking the service will charge a percentage.
