Should I pay tax on my UK earnings in South Africa ?

Should I pay tax on my UK earnings in South Africa ?

It all depends if you've already paid taxes on those earnings. If you're working in the UK, but are a resident of South Africa, then you may need to file paperwork with the SA revenue authorities (whatever they may be called - I know they're Inland Revenue in the UK) to show that taxes have been paid, at which point it becomes a matter between the UK and SA.

If you haven't paid any taxes on those earnings, however, then you're going to have to do so...and most likely in whatever country you're claiming citizenship.
If you live in South Africa then i think you do have to pay. If you live in the UK and you are sending money home then as far as i am aware you dont pay. But it may depend on the amount in a year too. You may have to pay if you go over a certain limit.
Vir wat wil jy nou gaan staan en belasting betaal in SA.?Ek't net doodstil gebly!
Yes, the South African Income Tax Act (don't remember where and exactly how much) that foreign earnings are taxable as CGT.
