A simple question. How much did you pau in taxes last year? too much nothing , make nothing and you pay nothing , very easy to deal with that question is virtually impossible to answer, since there are hidden taxes in many of the things that you buy, such as gasoline taxes, and very few people can accurately estimate the amount of sales taxes they paid. No idea. I know about what I paid in income taxes and property taxes (NOYB, BTW), but when it comes to the sales taxes and hidden excise taxes it's impossible to say. A small fortune. I agree that it is virtually impossible to figure how much you are ACTUALLY paying by the time you figure in all the nitpicking little taxes (like sales & gasoline tax), nevermind those paid by businesses that are built into the price of what you buy w/o being called taxes. effectively 45% of what I make when everything is added together Probably $2,500 for federal and $1,000 to the state for income taxes. Payroll, sales and excise? I'd guess over 6,000 |
