Can I get a copy of my 2005 California Tax return? The link below is a form from the California Franchise Tax Board to request a copy of your return. Whoever said their is no guarantee the state kept a copy makes 'naive' sound like a complement. If they don't keep a copy, they can't use it to AUDIT you. Besides, when have you every heard of the government deliberately getting rid of anything? The lose things, but they don't deliberately get rid of them. There are no guarantees that your State kept a copy after they were done with it. Maybe they did, maybe not. As a last resort, I would ask for a copy from the state tax agency, Yes you can, just contact the state tax service and request a copy. It might cost you some money though. |
