How can I find out about possible abandoned FEDERAL (US Govt) property that belongs to me?

I am looking specifically for an old tax refund check that may have never been cashed. I know how to look for STATE abandoned property but am not sure how to look for Federal abandoned property.

If you think that there might be a refund check that was never cashed or received, you need to contact the IRS and have them research your account to see if there is any credits posted to your account
