Us government?

Is there an amount that you have to work to file your taxes?? Is it illegal not to file them if you havent worked that long???

If you worked on the books, above the age of 18 for any amount of time during any year, you must file, legally. Of course if there a small sum, or if you paid no taxes, there really is nothing to lose by not filing, the government will not bug you unless there are a number of red flags raised by your account.
It's not the time worked, but how much money you earned.
